Smartphone‐based rapid and visual pathological diagnosis of glioma using perovskite probes

Histopathology plays a great role in diagnosing various diseases, which is considered as golden standard for tumor identification. The tissue constituents must be stained by visible labels microscopic analysis medical experts. However, this process time-consuming, labor-intensive, and expensive, requires rapid pathological approaches diagnosis the operating room. Here, we present an easy-to-process high-performance perovskite biological probes visual of glioma. Perovskite quantum dots can encapsulated copolymer into nanocrystals (PNCs) with diameter 100 nm, modified chlorotoxin to achieve specific recognition Benefiting from super photoluminescence yield (above 93%) [email protected] aqueous solution, glioma clearly imaged captured via smartphone under excitation handheld UV lamp. To demonstrate visualization efficiency PNC probes, different malignant grades brain sections distinguished no more than 5 min. This strategy provides general auxiliary platform achieving histopathology near bed, currently not feasible histochemical staining methods.
